What is disc binding?
I discovered this system through other companies that offer agendas with disc bindings. I had the idea to transform my pregnancy, birth, early childhood, childhood and school books with this type of binding to allow you to personalize your books. Let me explain!
What is disc binding?
- A system that uses discs to bind together the covers and pages of a book.
- For our 8.5 x 11 inch books we need 11 discs.
- These discs are available in several sizes ranging from 18 to 36 mm. They are made of plastic, aluminum or other alloy and are available in various colors. At the moment, we only sell the 32 mm black ones.
- The sheets inserted on these discs must be perforated using a hole punch making "mushroom" type holes.

Like a binder, this type of binding allows you to add or remove sheets according to your wishes and needs. Depending on the size of the discs, these created books can contain a lot of pages! With our 32 mm discs, you can bind together up to 200 pages (100 double-sided sheets).
Example. If you just start with the Birth section. Later, you could add infancy and childhood. Or just add extra blank pages exactly where you need them in your book!
I have in mind to add sections Conception, Infertility, PMA treatments, miscarriage, mourning, prematurity. These are more difficult themes to address in a single 60-page book. On the other hand, these will be sections that can be easily added as needed when life does not go as planned.
And possibly other types of sections because, you see, the possibilities are endless!
